This paper documents the research methods used for the Pacific Climate Change and Migration (PCCM) Project. The methods build on the research methods employed for the Where the rainfalls project (Rademacher-Schulz et al., 2012). The PCCM project (2013- 2016) was funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) designed and implemented the following research methods to attain quantitative and qualitative data for the country reports for Kiribati (Oakes et al., 2016), Tuvalu (Milan et al., 2016) and Nauru (Campbell et al., 2016).
