Location: Bogis-Bossey, Switzerland

The Executive Committee of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage (WIM) established the Task Force on Displacement in March 2017 to develop recommendations for integrated approaches to avert, minimize and address displacement related to the adverse impacts of climate change, in accordance with a mandate from the twenty-first Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) held in Paris in 2015.

On behalf of the Task Force on Displacement, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Platform on Disaster Displacement (PDD) are organizing a Stakeholder Meeting on “Recommendations for integrated approaches to avert, minimize and address displacement related to the adverse impacts of climate change”. The meeting will convene the Members of the Task Force to take stock on all areas of work of the Task Force and on the implementation of its workplan. The meeting is organized with the financial support of the Federal Government of Germany.
