Bigger Slums or Better Homes? Solving the Global Climate Displacement Crisis Begins with Land
Organised by Displacement Solutions and the Global Migration Centre
Auditorium Pictet B
Maison de la paix, Geneva
Climate displacement is one of the most critical challenges of the modern era. More and more countries are seeking land solutions to climate displacement, and tools such as the Peninsula Principles on Climate Displacement within States have been designed to that end. A round table on 25 & 26 April 2016 has been convened by Displacement Solutions and the Graduate Institute’s Global Migration Centre to bring together experts from around the world to discuss this highly topical issue. This public event will present the outcomes of those roundtable discussions.
Chaired by:
-
Vincent Chetail, Director, Global Migration Centre, the Graduate Institute
-
Scott Leckie, Founder and Director, Displacement Solutions
This event is held in conjunction with Where Will We Go, an exhibition about climate change taking place at Les Berges de Vessy.
