Climate Change and Forced Migration: A Crisis in the Making
Sea level rise, flooding, wildfires, droughts, and other disasters are increasing due to climate change, putting stress on communities and even forcing people to leave their homes. Climate change is already affecting migration patterns around the world and will increasingly continue to do so in the future - The UN projects 200 million climate refugees by 2050. The Forum Talk addressed this global challenge together with experts from politics, academia, law and inter-governmental organisations.
A Forum Talk on Climate Migration organized by the Council of Europe at the occasion of the World Forum for Democracy.
