Explores how the vulnerability of people enduring conflict is exacerbated by climate risks and environmental degradation, and how they cope and adapt. It discusses how the ICRC, and humanitarian action in general, need to adapt to address these risks and calls for urgently strengthening climate action in conflict-affected countries. The report is based on case studies carried out in southern Iraq, Northern Mali and the interior of the Central African Republic and draws on the ICRC expertise and scientific literature.
