Global Compact for Migration Preparatory meeting
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
The meeting provides a platform for different nations and stakeholders to jointly shape a vision for the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. The meeting takes place as part of the stocktaking phase of the preparatory process for the global compact, which will assess the inputs received during the consultation phase. During this phase, the Secretary-General will present a report to provide Member States with recommendations before the beginning of the intergovernmental negotiations.
