Three and a half years after the devastating 2010 earthquake, there are still 279,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) or 71,000 households remaining in 352 IDP sites and camp-like settlements throughout Haiti. This is according to IOM's latest quarterly Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) for Haiti. Even though there has been an 82% decrease in the total number of displaced families and a 77% reduction in the number of IDP sites since the disaster, the remaining IDPs are still vulnerable to this year's hurricane season.
