High-Level Event at the Global Observance of the World Day to Combat Desertification

This year, the global observance will be held on 15 June in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. The event is hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Green Economy and Climate Change.
The event will be opened by His Excellency Mr. Roch Mark Christian Kabore, President of Burkina Faso. Approximately 400 participants are expected to attend. During the high-level symposium on the theme, “Our Land. Our Home. Our Future,” approaches to address the root causes of migration and instability linked to land degradation and resource mismanagement will be discussed.
