Migration, Environment and Climate Change: Evidence for Policy (MECLEP)

MECLEP is a research and capacity-building project that aims to strengthen knowledge with new evidence on how migration can contribute to adaptation strategies in diverse environmental settings, to enhance government capacity to take action on environmental migration, and to facilitate policy coherence and cooperation at national and regional levels. This 3-year project is funded with the financial assistance of the European Union and will be piloted in the following six countries: Dominican Republic, Haiti, Kenya, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, and Viet Nam.
