Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration - 2nd Thematic Session on addressing drivers of migration
Second informal thematic session on facilitating safe, orderly and regular migration organized by the President of the General Assembly and co-chaired by the co-facilitators to lead the intergovernmental consultations and negotiations on issues related to the global compact, held in accordance with General Assembly resolution 71/280 of 6 April 2017. The second informal thematic session will be addressing drivers of migration, including adverse effects of climate change, natural disasters and humanmade crises, through protection and assistance, sustainable development, poverty eradication, conflict prevention and resolution.
