Second Informal Thematic Session for Global Compact on Migration - Drivers of Migration

A series of informal thematic sessions on facilitating safe, orderly and regular migration will gather substantive input and concrete recommendations to inform the development of the global compact on migration. The thematic groupings address, but are not limited to the elements outlined in paragraph 8 of Annex II of the New York Declaration.
Drivers of migration
This thematic session will address the drivers of migration, including adverse effects of climate change, natural disasters and human-made crises, through protection and assistance, sustainable development, poverty eradication, conflict prevention and resolution.
