Youth aspirations, choices and opportunities to cope with climate change impacts will play a crucial role in shaping the future of human mobility and how such shapes the future of cities.

This high-level event will enable a conversation between local authorities, experts, and youth organizations to discuss experiences, opportunities, and priorities on how to build and grow resilient cities (including Building Back Better initiatives, Nature Based Solutions, High Technologies, …) while ensuring a just and inclusive urban transition, including by unlocking the potential of youth migrants to contribute to climate action, to adaptation and to reduce urban climate risks.

The event will also build upon and bring to the attention of COP participants the recent outcomes of the International Migration Review Forum (IMRF), of the Summit of Mayors for the Climate organized by the International Association of Francophone Mayors, and the recommendations of the C40-MMC Global Mayors Action Agenda on Climate and Migration.
