Diaspora Voices: Combating the Climate Crisis

“Diaspora Voices” is a collaborative initiative with a new focus on combatting the climate crisis, providing direct engagement between diaspora members and top government officials about challenges directly affecting their communities and creating opportunities to work with the U.S. Department of State to address them.
This event is the first one of a multi-part series aims to address climate change and our oceans, highlighting current efforts by diaspora organizations to mitigate the harmful effects on communities. It will include opening remarks of experts, a panel discussion, and conclude with interactive breakout groups with attendees to facilitate more in-depth conversations ahead of COP27.
