The high-level event will highlight the importance of COP-to-COP collaboration to ensure that agriculture is properly addressed in international negotiations and that adequate climate finance contributions are made available to support the sustainable transformation of agrifood systems. Additionally, the event will underline how the FAST Partnership connects to the Baku Harmoniya Climate Initiative for Farmers and how the synergies between both initiatives will foster greater coherence and clarity on the landscape of existing initiatives, accelerating climate finance contributions in agrifood systems while empowering smallholder farmers, women, youth, Indigenous Peoples and other groups. FAST Members and stakeholders will share their experiences and lessons learned on the importance of strengthening collaboration to accelerate climate finance for agrifood systems transformation with a special focus on vulnerable groups, while highlighting the potential of the FAST Partnership and the Baku Harmoniya Climate initiative for Farmers.
