Organized by the UN Regional Working Group on Climate Change, Environment, Security and Development for West Africa- which includes the UNFCCC Regional Collaboration Centre, UNEP, UNOWAS, and IOM- and in collaboration with the NDC partnership and IUCN, the event will stimulate dialogue and strengthen partnerships for a more systematic inclusion of human mobility into climate policies in West Africa. At the end of the side event, participants will gain a better understanding of the next steps and strategic partnerships around people centered, evidence based and solution-oriented NAPs and NDCs in West Africa.
