The Migrants4Climate (M4C) Award recognizes initiatives led by, or with migrants’ and diasporas’ involvement that contribute to climate action and environmental sustainability.
The M4C Award Ceremony reveals the energy, action and vision of all the inclusive, innovative, impactful, and inspirational initiatives that were submitted to this first Edition of the M4C Award, and celebrates the three Award Laureates, as powerful sources of drive and motivation for all.
The M4C Award 2023 is an initiative led by The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) under the leadership of the Ghana CVF presidency. It is developed in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) and benefits from a wide range of partnerships. The Award benefited from the expertise of the Right Livelihood Award (RLA) and collaborates with the Geneva based Art Gallery Brulhart, featuring the artists whose art pieces are offered to the Laureates of the 2023 Edition, as part of their Prizes.
The Ceremony brings together the three Laureates and representatives of the M4C Award Jury members and organizers.
Additionally, it provides visibility to the ten 2023 finalist initiatives, highlighting the high quality of the nominated participants and the high-level commitment of partners.
