The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in partnership with the Government of Somalia and the Government of Tajikistan are organizing a roundtable discussion “Strengthening Capacities to Mainstream Human Mobility into the National Adaptation Plans (NAPs)”. This roundtable will seek to promote IOM’s Climate Mobility 4 NAPs initiative and the “Technical Guide on Integrating Human Mobility and Climate Change Interlinkages into National Planning Processes” among representatives from governments, international organizations, civil society, the private sector, and migrants. It aims to raise awareness of the need to integrate human mobility into National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), increase participants' familiarity with the guide, and collect good practices. It also aims to raise awareness about the technical assistance and funding support available to the Member States from IOM. The session also addresses capacity-building gaps by sharing tools and examples, creating a platform for participants to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and learn from existing initiatives.
