Location
COP29 Humanitarian Hub Side Event
The collective aim of the annual High-Level Dialogue, co-convened by the Board of the FRLD and the UN Secretary General’s Climate Action Team, in convoking the wider funding arrangements will be to ensure complementarity and coherence between mechanisms. A key outcome will be recommendations on scaling up or enhancing existing, as well as initiating new, funding arrangements for responding to loss and damage from climate change.
Panelists’ insights will focus on the emerging loss and damage funding architecture and consider topics on complementarity and coherence of the funding arrangements. This event will take place against the backdrop of the IASC Climate Crisis-sub-group continued work, input to and support of the operationalisation of the Santiago Network and the FRLD.
In the form of a moderated fireside chat, the event will include speakers from the FRLD, the Santiago Network Advisory Board, plus National Society and Humanitarian Agency representatives.
