Data Knowledge Working Group (DKWG)
The Data Knowledge Working Group (DKWG) was established in 2017 within the Advisory Committee of the Platform on Disaster Displacement (PDD) emerging from the need and common priority between the PDD, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) to address gaps in data and evidence related to human mobility linked to disasters, climate change and environmental degradation.
The DKWG kindly invites you to the Triple-D (Data, Disasters, Displacement) series, a series of five webinars of 90 minutes each on a bi-monthly basis.
The overall objective is to create a space for Advisory Members of the PDD and others to discuss gaps and opportunities, existing methodologies and tools in data collection and analysis related to human mobility in the context of disasters, climate change and environmental degradation. The webinars seek to bring together contrasting views and challenge existing data and knowledge on the respective topic and ultimately build bridges between the various perspectives in the field. In doing so, the series will encourage and sustain the ongoing exchange of technical knowledge among researchers, practitioners and policymakers engaged in data and knowledge production on displacement and disasters.
